 Our Clinical Director works with each mom to determine her life goals. At the House of Mercy, we provide a clean, safe, supportive environment where mothers can live together with their children while they are in active recovery. House of Mercy moms commit to a stay of at least nine months or up to 24 months -- long enough to become established in a healthy lifestyle.
House of Mercy provides residents the resources needed to succeed:
- Private and group therapy
- Participation in twelve-step program meetings, recovery and prevention
- Parenting classes
- Financial planning, budgeting and saving guidance
- Life skills classes
- Guidance to achieve legal and monetary restitution
- Job training
- GED classes
- Assistance in securing funds for higher education
- Transportation to classes, court and other appointments
- Babysitting services
- Encouragement in personal and spiritual growth
- Weekly gatherings of residents with staff
- Shared responsibility for household chores and upkeep
