Our Program Director works with each mom to determine her life goals.
At the House of Mercy, we provide a clean, safe, supportive environment where mothers can live together with their children while they are in active recovery. House of Mercy moms commit to a stay of at least nine months -- long enough to become established in a healthy lifestyle, up to 24 months.
House of Mercy provides residents the resources needed to succeed:
• Private and group therapy
• Participation in twelve-step program meetings, recovery and prevention
• Parenting classes
• Financial planning, budgeting and saving guidance
• Life skills classes
• Legal and monetary restitution
• Job training
• GED classes
• Assistance in securing funds for higher education
• Transportation to classes, court and other appointments
• Babysitting services
• Encouragement in personal and spiritual growth
• Weekly gatherings of residents with Sister Eileen Pistor, House of Mercy Executive Director, and House of Mercy Program Manager
• Shared responsibility for household with other mothers and children
To ensure our moms and children gain access to all resources available to them, we collaborate with many Nashville area agencies and services, including:
