Also, we welcomed a much-needed new staff member! Ro O'Sullivan will joined the House of Mercy staff as assistant to Sister Eileen, our executive director. Ro hails from Memphis, where she became a Mercy Associate. She is a trained massage therapist, which we are all delighted about, and she is a refreshing presence at the House of Mercy.

Recently, we moved out of McAuley House, which we have rented for years. We have moved our office into Catherine's House until we reconfigure our campus. With Ro O'Sullivan on board now, we are working with our wonderful volunteers to get our "House in order" inside and out. HCA's volunteers helped us paint the kitchen cabinets inside, and dig and set fenceposts for our new privacy fence. Our Tech volunteers exported our donor database into a fantastic new program called Exceed! Basic. And our board members are finalizing our strategic plan, collaborating with our staff to determine the vision for our future at the House of Mercy.

In all of these efforts, we are working together to make the House of Mercy a more effective ministry to homeless and recovering mothers and their children.

Sister Eileen presents a certificate of thanks honoring Dr. Peter Arrowsmith of the Arrowsmith Eye Institute for his support of the House of Mercy. His wife, Barbara, is one of our faithful board members.
